PURISM AND COMFORT UNDER ONE ROOF

Family home in Böblingen. Built in 1970; bathroom installation (complete with roof insulation) in 2012; 18 m² of floor space; renovation period: 12 weeks*.
Client's brief: puristic, easy to clean, joint-free, spacious ambience.

Execution: Positioning the shower in the middle of the room blurs spatial boundaries and creates a feeling of spaciousness. A bathtub makes the best possible use of the space under the sloping ceiling and offers a direct view of the sky. Smooth, plastered and breathable walls ensure a healthy climate in the room and define the puristic ambience.

Technical details: Lighting and heating are controlled centrally by means of a bus system. 6 pre-programmable lighting moods can be selected by means of a momentary-contact pushbutton. A motion sensor activates the glare-free night lighting. 4 invisible speakers recessed into the walls are controlled via an iPhone app.
